I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
